Product detailed description

LEADER PRO ED is designed for demanding users and professionals. ED technology + FMC lens coating Phase Coating ensures the highest sharpness and lightness of the Optics of the binoculars in the High Resolution category. Bracings made of BaK4 are also provided with a Phase Coating surface. The design of the optical system provides a wide angle of engagement. The light of the Leader optics allows observation even under the most demanding conditions, including night observation. The body of the telescope is made of polycarbonate. Binoculars blade from 3m!

The binocular covers have practical handles so there is no risk of them being lost. The telescope is filled with dry nitrogen, which ensures its water resistance and dust resistance. In case of a sudden change in temperature, there is no risk of the interior of the telescope. The binoculars have a massive rubber coating to protect them from damage. The binoculars are supplied with holsters and straps.

What is ED (Extra-low dispersion) technology?
Preferably, the so-called ED-glass (Extra-low dispersion) is used in the lens design. ED glasses are materials with very low dispersion. When light passes through any material, its fracture occurs at an angle that is proportional to the properties of the optical material (refractive index). Since the refractive index of material varies for different wavelengths of incident radiation, white matter passes through the material to decompose it into the spectrum. The white image is thus spread over a set of color images that have a different size and position of focus. Therefore, it is not possible to focus the image without a color, "rainbow", flashing, which then has a major influence on the lightness and edge sharpness of the lens. Some manufacturers (now also FOMEI) use lens materials with extremely low dispersion (ED glass), ie, refractive index dependency on wavelength. Thanks to this, it is possible to minimize the color defect and achieve practically ideal image, luminescence and edge sharpness of the image. These features use the new FOMEI LEADER PRO ED telescopes.
